Podcast with The New Warehouse 1920 1080 Packaging by Quadient

The New Warehouse Podcast sits down with Quadient to discuss our automated packaging solutions.

Packaging expert and Global Director of Marketing for Packaging by Quadient recently sat down with Kevin Lawton at Modex 2020, host of The New Warehouse Podcast, to talk about our Automated Packaging Solutions and how they improve efficiency, reduce costs and help make the supply chain more sustainable.

Quadient (formerly Neopost) operates in a wide range of different customer focused solutions, but Kevin and Bas’ discussion focused around the two Automated Packaging Solutions offered, the CVP Impack and CVP Everest.

The CVP Automated Packaging Solution’s two models, CVP Impack and CVP Everest, optimize order fulfillment, decrease labor costs and reduce package volume for shippers across a variety of industries. The auto-boxing systems measure, construct, seal, weigh and label each custom single- or multi-item order in a fit-to-size box while eliminating or reducing the need for void fill. The CVP Impack packs up to 500 parcels per hour requiring only one operator while the CVP Everest auto-boxes up to 1,200 parcels per hour and uses two operators. These solutions offer a 50% reduction in shipping volume and 88% reduction in packing labor, providing some customers with a full return on investment in as little as six months.

DIM Weight Savings

Many shippers send parcels in oversized boxes that cause unnecessarily high shipping costs due to DIM weight charges. Bas explains how you can get the lowest cost shipping with a fit-to-size CVP box.

Improved Sustainability

While fast delivery times continue to be a focal point, consumers also want to purchase from environmentally friendly companies. Bas discusses how auto-boxing can strengthen your green initiatives while improving the customer experience.
